"In the middle is where we bury the bodies of the night animals who try to steal our livelyhood!"
A garden shouldn't be shameful, but mine was.
The first picture is of the plot two weeks after everything was set in. The picture above, of some baby Cherokee Purple tomatoes, was taken a week or so later. And below is my garden today.
So, that is where we are. A garden is growing, and thanks to the freak weather reversal Coast-to-Coast, I would say it is thriving. And I am excited about what is to come - almost every tomato plant has set fruit, blossoms abound. Zucchini is letting it rip, both my cucumbers are producing fruit (though next year I'm going to plant at least three Kirbys, so I can make pickles). My Ichiban eggplant, Ancho chiles and jalapenos are all ridiculous - the fruit drips off of them. Baby melons are setting on my Cantaloupe, which gives me hope for watermelon next year.
Happy Summer to all of you. And tell me about your gardens!
Lovely, lovely, lovely.

I am stunned by the beauty of your garden. I'm also freaking green with envy, dammit. I had some unexpected surgery in the spring which made it impossible to care for myself much less plant a garden. I'm having to sooth my irritation with ONE large planter with a tomato plant along with a little cilantro. Everything else is purchased at my local farmer's market.
Woe is me. Greatness is YOU. Beautiful pictures. Truly!
