Your roasted butternut squash soup looks delicious. I love soups & this screams fall! Can’t wait to try!

Sorina

It looks delicious, I'm going to try it, thanks for sharing! Why don't more people talk about the food?!

Maybe happiness and copious amounts of chocolate do go hand-in-hand?
But I'm with you, this is the first time I've really commiserated with the whole January-must-go-on-a-diet spiel. Maybe because I'm getting older (sigh).

My mom always tells the story about how she went to France for a year and when my Grandmother picked her up at the airport the first thing she said was, "I guess I'll make you some shift dresses."

That whole description makes me drool---baby and all.

I don't suppose I can beg that you post a recipe for the cherry gingerbread cake???

Jessica

I'm a longtime lurker, and I had to come out of hiding to tell you this is my favorite post of yours to date. I'm so glad you had a wonderful Christmas, and thanks for keeping us all grabbing our muffin-tops in laughter. Happy new year!

tammy

you're funny!? I don't remember you as funny. I was reading your newest post, drinking my tea, and then I was laughing so hard I just about lost the tea. Must remember the funny part about your blog in future. The soup looks wonderful. when I get my car back will go to store and get a butternut squash and make the soup. And the cream. Best to you for a great '08, and thanks for the recipe.
