. This set of photos is really great - people in or by water, mostly from the fifties, sixties and seventies it seems. This one is my favorite. Maybe just because of the 'Paaaarrrrp!' note.
. Oh, and HOLD UP. There is also a set called 'Gangs'. I hope they call themselves The Single Ladies.
. I am afraid of drawing anything in my new moleskine.
. Your aunt has probably already shared this with you, but. If you add a can of beans, rinsed briefly under running water, to any Progresso soup, they are way better - same with some (thawed) frozen chopped spinach that, squeezed 'dry'. Just use whatever you fancy, for instance, kidney or pinto beans in minestrone are great - I love soup, but I'm not a fan of the sodium count because I feel like high amounts of sodium in soup are bullshit, I want visible sodium, like salt crystals on golden fries visible, you know? Not in the form of a broth that sometimes doesn't taste seasoned enough. The beans/spinach bulk up the soup, and make the sodium count reasonable, maybe. I feel like this would work for other things too, like adding a can of black beans to hot fudge, or lentils to a glass of milk.
. Where do breakfasts look like this?
. Remember those Mischa Barton Ked ads? I was going through all of my old magazines, tearing out articles and stuff that I want to save, and I came across a lot of them. Here are some questions -
- did it reinvigorate the brand?
- did anyone else look at each ad as a brief snippet, like a micro-chapter, from a book that no one had written yet, about a girl back home for the summer, after being away at Prep school, nothing to do but play croquet with faceless boys and drink milk in a kitchen with no pants on?
- is Mischa Barton okay!
. Watching 'Planet Earth' for the first time at one in the morning is a surefire way to confirm you'll still be up at two-thirty in the morning, gasping at piles of bat dung that host several species of cockroaches, tiny crabs, and act as quicksand for the elderly bats that fall into the 300 foot pile of their brethren's waste, only to be consumed by the cockroaches.
Back to business.
