We all know the New Year is creeping closer and closer, and if you're like me, you're enjoying the last bit of this year, which was one for the record books. Such great heights. To fall from or be pushed from, or stare down as you clung to the edge of something unstable and hateful.
But then we hit September and things chilled out and now that we're getting ready to say farewell, we should send this year out in style. Big party. Big party. Every relative. And some hot tunes.
Fitz and The Tantrums. This is music to dance to, with other people, or by yourself. You can sing along to it, and shake your hips. You can slam counters with your palms, point emphatically and slide across floors. You can swish, swivel, stomp and swear. I suggest you acquaint yourself with these jams. This is the time. This is your time. 2010 is almost done, and the best way to make it second-guess the choices it made is to have a killer time, while it shows itself out. Look at you. Look at you. You'd think it rained rose petals all year.
(And according to their website, they're offering a free download of the Totally Boss single 'Moneygrabber'. Watch out!)
