Thanks for listening to me babble on and on about gardening. The tomato above is from one of the plants I started from seed, a Botanical Interests Roma Tomato, which resides in a beautiful container while it's brethren sit crazy dirt. Photos of that coming soon, but I wanted to ease you in slowly.
The basil, and Greek Oregano (which is often mislabeled, I found out - true Greek Oregano should be slightly fuzzy all over, stems and leaves) were purchased starts, same for the Peppermint (and the Spearmint, eggplant, cucumbers and one of the zucchini varieties), but have been growing like GANGBUSTERS. If you do one nice thing for yourself this summer, plant a pot of basil and a pot of mint. The rewards are tangible. But I hope you do fifty nice things for yourself this summer.
More herbs to show you soon, more plants too, and hopefully something edible in a month or two. From the garden at least - edibles in general are coming up, within days. All those cherries? All that rhubarb? All those peaches? We've got to pounce, friends, we've got to pounce.
Hope all is well!
I LOVE the gardening posts. I'm always looking for interesting and entertaining gardening blogs, but in the case of Bake and Shake I read for food, Etsy recommendations and your wit. The gardening pots are just an awesome bonus.

You know, I'm really inspired to plant some things too. I used to have basil, oregano and chives. But then they died because I lost interest..
Now I want to plant them again. And until then - I would like some recipes please!!!
