GED Musical 2: Movin' Out (of Mom's Basement)
Okay. Some things you should know:
-I bought "Silver Lining" and "Breakin' Up" by Rilo Kiley three days ago. Since that purchase, I have listened to them 66 and 63 times, respectively. I have no idea how to explain this, to myself or others.
- I am up writing a paper. Earlier this evening I made a cool 40 dollars for watching a little girl who was content to watch movies and cartoons for two and a half hours. I don't usually advocate that, but she didn't want me in her business, basically, unless I was delivering hot chocolate and popcorn. So the Disney Channel is still on, because I hate Earth, I guess, and this just answered all my questions about the universe:
38 seconds in, tell me your life doesn't change in a groundbreaking, Oprah-inspired way.
- Sometimes I want to make whipped cream for hot chocolate, or a single piece of pie, human flesh, whatever. Tonight I remembered a trick I read about in an old Martha Stewart Kids issue, where you pour the cream, the sugar, the vanilla into a plastic container with a tight-fitting lid (I use these really sturdy ones my favorite Thai place gives you for leftover curry, or when you order takeout), and just shake the hell out of it. A minute later, maybe sooner if you don't stop and check to see if it's working like I did, you'll have softly whipped cream.
That's it.

ummmm that second video scares me. do you think he knows what a douche he looks like? how could he go through with doing that??!!! perplexed....

Zac Efron is truly a god among men. Those baby blue eyes, that perfect coif, the dance moves I used to do in fourth grade while impersonating the Spice Girls in my bedroom...I bet his girlfriend watches that video and thinks, "Damn, I am a lucky woman to be with one so manly. He even removed a consonant from his name. Genius."
Thank you, Bake and Shake, for sharing that inspiring piece of musical heaven!

Steph, YES. The water reflection is my favorite part, after the fact that you can see his undereye concealer/brightening cream so clearly.
Tracy, I hope you enjoy it. I love it, and also consider it cardio.
Amanda, just those two tracks so far -- I'm late to the game, but I think I'll be binge-buying soon.
Beth, Oh, I can't wait then. These are the first songs (Besides Portions for Foxes) of theirs that I've purchased/listened to. I love Jenny Lewis' solo disc though.

Older Rilo Kiley is soooooo much better. In my lame opinion of course.

I am addicted to the new Rilo Kiley cd too! I am pretty sure that my iPod is going to get sick of playing "Silver Lining" pretty soon. Did you buy the cd?
